Mike has served as dean of the College of Education since 2013. He has worked in higher education for 25 years, specializing in the areas of measurement, statistics, and evaluation.
Mike has previous experience guiding the implementation of the University’s and college-level strategic plan. He served as co-chair of the Institutional Effectiveness Council Theme 4 subcommittee for the 2014-2019 strategic plan.
Prior to joining WSU, Mike was the director of the Chapter 1 Technical Assistance Center at RMC Research Corp. in Portland, Oregon. In this role, he was responsible for providing measurement and evaluation technical assistance for federally funded K-12 education programs in Alaska.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with family, which includes three grandchildren, traveling, and spending time at college town coffee houses.
