Athletic Training — Special Notification

In compliance with the Commission on Accreditation for Athletic Training Education (CAATE) WSU is now offering a program which results in a Master’s in Athletic Training. 

However:

 

The AT program at WSU is a comprehensive 5-year program, and ALL 5 years must be completed at WSU.

The program is rigorous and will include an undergraduate BS in Sports Medicine and finish with the Master’s in Athletic Training degree. 

 

Please pay close attention to several items:

The ENTIRE 5 years must be completed at WSU.

There is a required summer between the 4th and 5th year at the graduate level.

Application to the AT program will take place in the Fall of your second year (sophomore year), with pre-admittance status.

You must have at or above a 3.0 cumulative GPA in order to apply.

There will be 3 semesters in the graduate portion of the program; these semesters are not usually eligible for financial aid, however, scholarships may be available.
